Mindful Time
Have you ever experienced doing more than one thing at the same time? And doing it just right for all? Yes – multi-tasking is the magic word. With multi-tasking we try to juggle job, family, friends, leisure time, house-keeping, shopping – almost everything. One activity drive the next. We are available at anytime and anywhere, making appointments handy and spontaneously via SMS. All things run fast and faster, a real twist of activities. But, do we succeed in doing all this, or is it sometimes to much to deal with? And, are we really happy with it? What's the price for living on the fast lane?
We could ask ourselves whether we arrange our life self-determined or if we are completely deprived of our autonomy? The much-vaunted capacity of 'multi-tasking' often leads to stress and sickness. Some of us are no longer able to recover sufficiently. One possibility to drop out of the 'accelerated times' could be a mindful way of living. How this works is subject of our workshop Mindful Time.
What does mindful mean? To be mindful with yourself and others is close connected with conscious behaviour and being present in the moment of acting. This emphasises the quality aspect of time. The leading question is: How do we spent our time? In the workshop we focus on the personal objectives, interests and skills of participants as well as on the assessment and organisation of upcoming duties corresponding to their inherent natural speed and importance resulting from the context. We balance qualitative and quanitative techniques for a good time and stress management. We would like to facilitate participants discovering their own practices and rituals that make everyday and job life more mindful and enjoyable.
Working Languages: English and German
Duration: Depending on how intensely participants wish to learn about personal, time and stress management we can offer the workshop for 1 day up to 2 ½ days.
